Improving care services for older people: funding, integration and standards

Morning, Friday 9th March 2018 Central London THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

Guests of Honour Professor Martin Vernon, National Clinical Director for Integration and Frail Elderly, NHS England Andrea Sutcliffe, Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care, CQC

This seminar will provide a timely opportunity to consider the policy priorities for improving care services for older people in England.

Attendees will discuss the impact of current measures, such as additional funding allocated to social care in the Spring Budget and the social care precept reform, as well as the next steps in sustainably delivering quality care services to an ageing population.

Further sessions consider priorities for reducing delayed transfers of care and relieving ‘front door hospital pressures’, as well as the wider implementation of the enhanced health in care homes vanguards, the changing role of the third and independent sectors in delivering integrated and quality care, and priorities for regulating older peoples care.
