International Relations

The BSG is committed to fostering links with gerontology researchers working in other countries. In particular, we are hoping to instigate links with researchers working in less developed countries and we offer reduced membership fees for these individuals. We hope to be able to offer bursaries to attend the BSG conference to researchers from less developed countries in the future.

We are a member of the International Association of Gerontology, and of AGE, the European Older People’s Platform.

Conferences

The next IAG World Congress of Gerontology (19th) will take place in the European Region, at the Palais des Congres, Porte Maillot, Paris France. Dates are July 5-10, 2009.

The 20th World Congress of Gerontology will be held in Seoul, Korea in 2013.

Regional/hemispheric Congresses take place in the intervening years between each World Congress.
