Ageing & Society

Ageing and Society is usually offered to individuals for £70 a year but a member of the BSG can take out a subscription for just £33 a year.

Ageing & Society is an interdisciplinary and international journal devoted to the understanding of human ageing and the circumstances of older people in their social and cultural contexts. Ageing & Society has moved to online submissions and the entire digital archive is now available online. Published ten times a year by Cambridge University Press (CUP). Each issue of this premier international journal in social gerontology contains four or five main articles, a progress report or review article, abstracts of significant papers, and about a dozen book reviews. Members of the Society are entitled to a reduced subscription.

The Journal of Population Ageing examines the broad questions of ageing societies throughout the world, thereby stimulating discussion of North American, European, and Transitional and Developing World issues. It provides a forum for international, cross-disciplinary debate on population ageing, focusing on theoretical and empirical research and methodological innovation and development. Find out more... Although the Journal of Population Ageing does not usually have an individual rate, when you join the BSG you can take out an individual subscription for just £40 a year. You can receive the journal in hardcopy or online, whichever you prefer. If you wish to access it online please contact the Secretariat, who will arrange this for you.
