Research Associate Global Health/Research Associate in Public Engagement in Global Health
There are two exciting opportunities for postdoctoral researchers to join the Institute for Global Health at Keele University, as member of the ECLIPSE team. The ECLIPSE study will start on 1 November 2019 with country teams in Brazil, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka and the UK. ECLIPSE The neglected tropical disease cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) is a highly stigmatising skin condition that often leads to discrimination, social exclusion and poverty which, in turn, may lead to additional health problems. ECLIPSE is a major four-year healthcare programme, underpinned by ethnographic and community engagement approaches and set within a medical anthropological framework, which aims to improve the CL patient journey and reduce stigma in the most marginalised and underserved communities in Brazil, Ethiopia and Sri Lanka. ECLIPSE is led by Dr Lisa Dikomitis, anthropologist, and Dr Helen Price, parasitologist, together with an international, cross-cultural team that includes clinicians, anthropologists, psychologists, disease specialists and public health researchers. The two postdoctoral positions are for 4 years full time: Research Associate in Global Health and Research Associate in Public Engagement in Global Health).
