Murna Downs Retiring
You may have heard that Murna Downs will be retiring from her position as Professor of Dementia Studies, University of Bradford, at the end of December 2020.

Murna has made a huge contribution to dementia care research over many years, leading thinking in the field and always appreciating and valuing those living with dementia.  Her contributions include being co-editor of the highly commended textbook Excellence in dementia care: Research into practice and being series editor of the Jessica Kingsley Good Practice Guides on Dementia Care. She has been recognised through her Fellowship of the Gerontological Society of America and in 2018 she was awarded the UK British Society for Gerontology Outstanding Achievement Award.
