New MSc Advanced Dementia Studies
The Centre for Applied Dementia Studies at the University of Bradford is now recruiting for the new MSc Advanced Dementia Studies starting in September 2018

MSc Advanced Dementia Studies is a part-time distance learning programme. By studying online you will have flexibility to fit your studies around your working life and learn from and with students from around the world.

The programme is designed to equip health and social care practitioners with the knowledge and skills required to become leaders, and to influence evidence-based changes within their field of dementia care practice. Our modules are underpinned by cutting-edge research. We adopt a human rights perspective to understanding the experience of people living with dementia and encourage multidisciplinary team-working and service user engagement. The programme aligns to tiers 2 and 3 of the Dementia Core Skills Education and Training Framework.

This three-year part-time course is intended for UK and international students who are;

           • Health and social care professionals who want to gain a specific qualification in working with people with dementia

           • Voluntary workers who already have contact with people with dementia

The MSc Advanced Dementia Studies has nested awards of PG Certificate Dementia Studies (one year) and PG Diploma Advanced Dementia Studies (two years).

The Centre has over 20 years of knowledge and experience in delivering dementia education and training. The tutors are actively involved in dementia research and/or practice development that informs their teaching practice.

“…The tutor’s supportive and informative approaches and their attitudes towards learner’s specific needs were the major strengths of the programme” (Student Feedback).

“……The quality and open transparency of feedback is high quality and is a feature of excellent practice” (External Examiner Feedback).

The application deadline is August 3rd 2018. To find out more about this programme, full entry requirements, and to apply online, visit the University of Bradford programme listing.
