In line with BSG main conference format, this year's pre-conference will be in-person only event.

The pre-conference will consist of two research presentation sessions (morning and afternoon) to showcase your research, along with an interactive discussion with our exceptional speakers, including Professor Tine Buffel from University of Manchester, Professor Judith Philips OBE from University of Stirling, and Dr. Matthew Lariviere from Northumbria University. This will give you the opportunity to embark on the discovery of career trajectories and research directions in gerontology, and dive deep together into the challenges and opportunities that await you in gerontological research, tackle uncertainties and plan a diversified future.

At lunch time, we will invite experienced editors from well known academic journals to join us for a Q&A session, where you will have plenty chances to make connections with them and ask any questions regarding research and publication.

For those who have poster presentations at the BSG main conference later, please feel free to bring your posters to the pre-conference. There will be places for you to practice your presentation freely during the networking breaks.

At the end of the pre-conference, we will elect our new ERA committee members, before the new ERA Chair closes the day.

Don’t miss this chance to share your innovative research, gain mentorship, and connect with peers and luminaries in the field of gerontology.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2024 BSG ERA pre-conference!
