Ageing Futures: Rethinking Later Life Across Boundaries
Why this theme?
To understand ageing we need to move beyond disciplinary silos.
Biological processes shape health and longevity. Psychological processes shape identity, cognition and wellbeing. Social structures shape inequality, opportunity and care.
Too often these perspectives remain fragmented.
The conference aims to bring together researchers, practitioners and policymakers to explore ageing as a deeply interconnected biological, psychological and social process.
Together, we ask:
How do bodies, minds and societies interact across the life course?
How can multidisciplinary research better address the challenges and opportunities of longer lives?
What new collaborations are needed to shape healthier, fairer and more meaningful futures of ageing?
A space for integration, innovation and collaboration across disciplines.
