BSG Scotland Members' Event 23 March 2007
BSG Scotland is a local group of the British
Society of Gerontology, formed in 2002 to organise conferences and
networking opportunities in Scotland. Please see the website for further
information: http://www.britishgerontology.org/index.asp?PageID=18.
We hold two types of event: one day conferences
open to all and more informal half day members' events. In 2006 we had a
very successful conference at Glasgow Caledonian University in June and
an enjoyable and interesting members' event at Queen Margaret
University College, Edinburgh in November.
The next BSG Scotland members' event will be held on Friday 23 March 2007
in the Colin Bell Building, University of Stirling from 12.30 to 16.00.
The event will start with a buffet lunch and time to network and
socialise, learn about others' research and interests, and look at
posters and other materials. Then research presentations will be given
by:
- Professor Alison Bowes, University of Stirling
- Jane Burns, Queen Margaret University College
- Margaret Brown, Bell College.
The provisional programme and booking form will
be available later in January on the BSG website and circulated to the
BSG Scotland email list. For further information please contact Susan
