Frank Glendenning Memorial Lecture 2023 Depolarising and Restating the Principles of Educational Gerontology: A Late Modern Rationale Dr Hany Hachem School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Orebro University, Sweden This lecture will celebrate the great scholars Keith Percy and Frank Glendenning focusing on a fourth restatement of the principles of educational gerontology. Dr Hachem will show how an identity-based transformative learning perspective contributes to a late modern rationale for the education of older people. He will draw on his work with UNESCO on the contribution of higher education to the teaching of older people and their learning. This year’s lecture will be held online at 5.00pm (UK time) on Tuesday, December 5 th 2023.
