Lancaster University Request to Members for BSG 50th Anniversary Conference
The British Society of Gerontology is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. The 50th Anniversary Annual Conference will be online from 7 – 9 July, with a theme of ‘Ageing past, present and future: Innovation and change’, hosted by Lancaster University Centre for Ageing Research.

Dear Colleagues,

We are writing to ask if you can help us celebrate the last 50 years by sending us a memory or photo of your first or favourite BSG conference, to be put together in a special presentation. Memories should be a max of 80 words – think tweet or post-it note; we will not be able to edit, so longer ones won’t be included.   For GDPR reasons, photographs with people in must be accompanied by written permission for the photo to be shared from anyone whose face can be recognised, or we won’t be able to include them; pictures of places, you and your first poster, etc are great!

Please could you send memories and photos to the Centre for Ageing Research - by 16th June 2021 so that we can compile them into a presentation.

The 2021 Conference, will be online again this year but with all the planned keynote speakers, symposia and parallel sessions on research in gerontology, as well as virtual networking and interactive social events for both lunchtimes and evenings.   Don’t miss the Early Bird Registration Deadline of 29 April 2021.  Full details of the conference can be found on the BSG website:
