This short first film introduces the Ageing of British Gerontology project. In it, the research team outline the elements of the project; talk about how it came about; about the archival work and the filmed biographical interviews conducted with 50 established gerontologists; and about the generation of a range of creative outputs. These outputs include the professional photographic portraits of participants and the seven thematic films which have been edited together from the individual interviews.
